Machland robotpalletizing

Machland GmbH was founded in 1970 and is the largest producer of sour vegetables in Austria (brand, private label, contract production) with headquarters in the middle of Machland (Naarn, Upper Austria). Machland decided to improve their production line with new palletizers. Profipack were given the following tasks:

- Instead of the old palletizing system, a space-saving and fully automatic palletizing system was implemented in the warehouse.

- The packing station, where the various articles are packed into cartons, is also our connection point

- Due to the existing set-up of the packing machines and a necessary passageway, only a minimum area could be provided by the customer. This was ideally solved by the "Profirob" palletizing robot installed by Profipack.

- The palletizing capacity is 1500 cartons/h. A distinction is made between five different carton sizes, whereby larger cartons have a smaller palletizing capacity. Another challenge was the throughput. It was required that there should always be a clear aisle around the entire palletising centre, large enough for an electric stacker trolley to manoeuvre easily.

- Practicality and comfort are required: easy to operate, accessible everywhere and easy loading and unloading.

Profipack presents the following realisation:

- A compact and practicable robot palletizer with a row clamping head with an undisturbed flow of packs through the system

- All-round passage, thanks to a spiral conveyor that relocates the pack transport to 2.5m

- Pick-up and take-off directly next to each other

- Two pick-up stations, so that two different pack formats can be palletised simultaneously

- Integrated layer pad gripper in the clamping head
